Professional Qualifications:My counselling and psychotherapy training has been at the Metanoia Institute, London and the Sherwood Institute, Nottingham where I gained a postgraduate diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy. As with all responsible practitioners my professional development is ongoing, and I am currently studying for a Master's Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy. I also attend workshops and seminars throughout the U.K.
I am also a Registered General Nurse, and worked within the National Health Service for over 20 years, predominately in General Practice.
My approach is Integrative collaborative and active. It is relationally-based and informed by an integration of the therapeutic theories I have studied, which include:- Gestalt, Person Centred, Self Psychology, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural, and Psychodynamic.
We will be focussing on the issues identified and brought by you. I have particular expertise in:-
Poor self concept/low self esteem - relationship issues - both childhood and current emotional, sexual and physical abuse - identity difficulties - anxiety/depression - harassment/bullying - personal growth and learning.
